The challenge was simple. Tease the debut of our unique Starry story with a :30s TV commercial featuring an all-star cast alongside the greatest shot in the game’s innovators, Lem and Lime, during one of the biggest moments in the world, the 2023 NBA Finals.
You’d think that was enough, but it was just the beginning. Our Creative starred Zion Williamson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Angel Reese, and the OG, Matt Barnes along with a very special guest feature—NBA first-time Finalist, Jamal Murray.
Our Starry-studded cast made their debut during Game 1 of the NBA Finals, on NBA channels, ESPN channels, and across Revolt! media platforms. Showcasing how Lem and Lime discovered Jamal Murray 20 years prior, preparing him for his impending victory during the launch sparked a bit of online controversy that created a conspiracy across social media and Reddit—”How did they know?” and, “Is the NBA rigged? How did they make a spot featuring Jamal Murray that launched the day he plays in the Finals, Game 1?” The controversy, just like Starry, was as crisp as it was delicious.
